To be honest Gary, on our grass field, especially this time of year, they can be a pain!
I think the ones for the P40 are "Twist N Turn" type making them even more complicated.....I don't blame you for your decisision!!

Spot on mate..twist & turn as you said. I had them on a Hangar 9 Hellcat and they were a pain †Mad
At the end of the day as long as a plane takes off, lands and flys well I'm happy with that †Rainbow† dont want to be farting around with jammed retracts half the field time †Bravo

Keith, get some airline restrictors from Zedjet ( http://www.zedjet.com/index.php?_a=product&product_id=41 ).
They fit in the airlines to and from your retracts to restrict the airflow. They appear to be a straight through barbed coupler, but the exit hole is approximately 1/10mm diameter to reduce airflow.

They will slow your gear down a treat!

Hi Ian
thanks for that link
Ive got restrictors in the line but dont seem to help
If its ok ill bring them to the field next time your there, perhaps I need a smaller bore (if there is such a thing!)
they go down reasonably but come up too quickly so they dont have time to turn, maybe something ive done or not!
They are Jetex I think
cheers
Keith†cheers

Keith

With the exception of 50's rocket powered free flight models, I've not heard of Jetex before??

Maybe that's why they go up so fast!!

I'll check it out for you
