If you do get it, take your time setting the twin carb throttle linkages and also the needles on the carbs. Don't worry about an onboard glow unit (unless you particularly want one) and don't expect loads of power.
Time spent setting up will mean lots of flights without engine trouble

Good news Ian, David the seller has just called me telling me it is mine....He has owned from new and never used it.
It has been bench run only and assures me NO needles have been played with. "AS factory set" He was planning on putting it in a kit built clipped wing cub but ended up putting a 20cc DLE instead.

What I was planning on doing was mounting it on a test bed and bringing it out to the patch and get you to advise me as I have never had a Saito or even a twin.

He is sending a Payment request in the morning and then will send it 48hour signed for.

So a very big thank you for looking for me I am very grateful. Bravo Bravo

I must admit, when I first saw the Saito, I was tempted to buy it for myself. Only thing is I would then have to buy a plane to put it in!!

Right the fuse is complete with stab, rudder and tail feathers. Not connected yet as will cover first then attach.
But now I know the engine I will crack on with the wings but will only go so far as Mike has offered a set of Hanger9 wing struts instead of trying to manufacture them a very kind offer indead.

Don't use any castor based fuels in it, use 10% or higher nitro and stick two OS "F" plugs in it, unless it already has good plugs.
You don't need two seperate glow starters either, use a single remote glow with the two plugs connected in parallel (a lead from each plug to the remote glow connector)
Can't wait to hear it sing!

I will get new plugs regardless that way it is starting on a good foot. I still have a container of 12% optifuel so will start it off and continue with that. Rainbow

going to take a break today and sort the garden out. Well no one else is going to do it.

Just looking at the elevator photo, is the leading edge currently part of the tailplane trailing edge? Looks like one solid piece? ?

I can see what you are saying, but No the Elevators are just pinned on just for the picture..There are two risers under the tail feathers to bring them up to the top inline with its backbone.

I have put it all away for a break as it only needs 1 wing then covering but I began to make stupid mistakes.
