| Fantastic Dave! Nicely done. Good to see that the model I bought 11 years ago from GM Models will finally fly! Look forward to seeing it (and hearing it with two 4 bangers up front!). When's the maiden? | |

| Dave
There are 3 things to aim for when flying a twin......Reliable engines, reliable engines and reliable engines!
Initially, run up each engine individually as you would on a single engine powered plane, and obtain max rpm for each engine. Then, restart the slower engine, put the nose up, set max rpm then richen by 1/8 turn. Then, start the other engine and match it's rpm to the slower engine by running it rich. Do not attempt to lean the slower engine to match the faster one. Once you've set max rpm, set up the low and mid rpm by adjusting the linkages. Ideally +/-500rpm between them thoughout the entire rpm range.
Use a good plug (OS "F" in my opinion) and a minimum of 10% nitro as this helps throttle response.
I know it all sounds a little OTT, but a little extra time spent setting the engines up initially will save a few tears at the field.
All the best

| I find that the clips are best painted Matt "kakky" brown, just means any leakage is not so obvious! | |
