| Does anyone know of a site/store that does plans for indoor 'planes?? Not the 3D type, more like scale (ish)?? Had no luck on 'google' Thinking of lightweight balsa types or combination balsa/foam?? Been going to the ashford market for a couple of weeks and quite keen on building something Any ideas?? | |

| I reckon your best bet would be to convert a free flight model from a kit/plan, to take micro RC gear | |

| Dave Ian as the best thought a free flight model ,but don't build it conventional its got to be really LIGHT to successfully fly it indoors, forget balsa and covering and think of foam, ask me how i know i tried a small amount of balsa on one of my foames it was a disaster for indoors ok outside Robot birds do some good small electric models for indoor flying. http://robotbirds.com/ | |

Yes Kieth, sensibly not much bigger than 8" x 4"x4". Tried to do a massive 1/3 scale canopy for Colin but acetate kept tearing. All I need is a inside 'plug' for the shape you want. Include moulding lines etc ( like the frame on a canopy) and make it fairly smooth! Whatever is on the plug will come out on the sheet. It's half term now so could't do till week after next and it will cost you 50p per mould!! | |
