thats cool Phil,I think your next model should be a miles majesty so we can have a reinactment of this piece of history down at the patch.i'm sure you'll find some volenteer hurricane pilots to race against.

Did you all notice how very british and stiff upper lip it all was back then ie, "the oldest competitor, who crashed to his death a little later" !!!!

Absolutely. The King's Cup was a lethal low-level 'pylon' race - a kind of 'the Grand National of the Skies'.
Couldn't stage something like it today. Health and Safety would have the screaming heebie jeebies.

poxy H & S.. its out of control.... some of the reasion the Red Bull Air races isnt put on TV any more.... hoping lack of intrest will not make it worth while..
