Well it looks as though it is going to be a very windy weekend Sad Shame really I was looking forward to it. Not been flying for some time now, I have even got a plane on charge. :Mad2:

Having spoken to a couple of members today, it seems that the wind could be a problem as far as the Fun Day is concerned.
Obviously, we don't want to buy large quantities of food for the BBQ, only to waste most of it.
I know not every club member views the website, but those that do, could you please post your opinions as to weather or not we have the Fun Day or postpone it to another weekend.

I'm all for agreeing with the last two posts.....

How do we let everyone know :5:

Let's just make this weekend a normal flying weekend. If Saturday or Sunday turns out to have much less wind than forecast :Windy: I could always grab some bacon for a brakfast BBQ!!

Could those people that read these posts, please put their opinions down. I don't want to be the one that gets moaned at if the weather becomes good after the Fly In gets cancelled!!
Just put "Fly" if you want to go ahead with the Fly In or "Cancel" if you don't.....C'mon, it won't take a minute!! (We know who you are!!!!)

I've even repaired the X Claim again!!!!!

Well this is always going to be a problem trying to guess what the weather is going to do.We were lucky on scale day but it seems not to be the case this time, so I think it would be best to play it by ear and if it turns out to be a good day well it won't take long to get some knosh fron the shops but I suspect we can rule out a proper funday's flying.
Lets hope the forcast is wrong again!!!!!!!!!!!!

PostSubject: Fun Day   Fri Sep 11, 2009 9:09 pm

Hi Ian

Makes perfect sense to arrange another weekend as not much point of a fun day with no fun Crying or Very sad i would fly anyway being the daredevil i am but got caught out the other weekend in the wind and broke the Super Air in half Embarassed That will teach me eh!
I will still come down for a fly with my wind friendly Prangy for a fly though,

As for my vote...A sensible Cancel seems to be the right answer!
I can always grab a few Doughnuts at short notice for a normal fly this weekend cheers

Cheers Mate

Sorry I cant be there this weekend as I'm away on a weekend break in Paris.
Met office shows Hastings as 15-18 gusting to 29 MPH, Sat & Sun.
Due to this I have voted to cancel - and then maybe I can come on a future, better weekend.
But good luck if you try it!
See you soon.

Well not a bad fun fly weekend good turn out on both days! Some had the balls to fly! Or was it just plane daft! Just the two miss haps! Ian gave a good show with the jet on Sunday! And then Ian and Paul did a slot! Paul had his war hawk, Ian had a 3d sort of plane, don’t know the name of the bugger! Had some good food on Sunday, J McDonnell supplied the food, and M igglesden did the BBQ, thanks to both of them .grumpy

Gotta agree with Grumpy

Good food on Sunday, thanks John for supplies and Mark's cooking :bravo: : . A burger didn't make me brave enough to attempt a flight but it was good to get to the patch after such a long break. :bravo: :
